Connaught MPC 2025 🧭

21-Sept-2025: Congratulations to the team of Six Dunboyne Scouts who successfully completed the 2025 edition of the Connaught MPC (Mountain Pursuit Challenge), which was held on Achill Island over the weekend from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of September. Our scouts who completed this MCP were:

Tony Collins, Dave Renshaw and Méabh Ní Thiarnáin attended as leaders from 1st Meath Dunboyne Scouts. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The team experienced some very challenging conditions including strong northerly winds, heavy rain and wet conditions. However our Scouts, and Leaders, took it all in their stride and battled through the challenging conditions with smiles on their faces.

Mountain Pursuit Challenges (MPCs) are hillwalking, backpacking and wild camping challenges organised by Scouting Ireland, which are designed to push participants to their limits to complete these full-weekend challenges.
