Magnificent May Cubs Excursion 🍦

Tuesday Cubs took a spin out to Sutton with Irish Rail and had a full days outing on a beautiful May day. From the photos you could think we had somehow transported ourselves to the French Riviera, but no, it was simply sunny North County Dublin.

We did 11km hike around Howth Head, from Sutton Train Station and ending up in Howth. We had time for shell collections along the beach, bird stories, seal spotting, history lessons, planning our house location for when we win the lotto along with a scenic stop overlooking the lighthouse for lunch.

When we made it into Howth, past Lambay (Wallabies) Island and Ireland’s Eye, the biggest question of the day was what flavour ice-cream to get. We had figured at this stage, they were all wrecked but no, we had time for exercise machines, the playground and a quick hello to the Howth Scout Group at their Den before catching the train home.

A sprint in Connolly helped us all make the connection and home with windswept hair, tired feet and stories to tell.
