About the Programme

Beavers is the first section of Scouting Ireland, welcoming children aged 6 to 8 into the world of scouting. In a safe, fun, and inclusive environment, young Beavers explore the natural world, develop friendships, and begin building the values of respect, care, and adventure that will stay with them for life.

Our Beaver programme is built around play, story, and discovery. Each meeting brings new activities — from nature crafts and simple cooking to songs, games, and community service projects. Beavers earn badges as they grow in confidence and capability.

What We Get Up To

Nature walks and outdoor exploration

Songs, games and team challenges

Sleepovers (age-appropriate overnight experiences)

Water activities (paddling and supervised swimming)

Arts, crafts and simple construction projects
