About the Programme

Scout Troop is where scouting truly comes alive. Young people between 1st Year and 3rd Year of secondary school, take on more independence, leadership responsibility, and outdoor adventure than ever before. Scouts plan and lead their own activities, take on challenging expeditions, and develop the practical and personal skills that last a lifetime.

The Scout programme is centred on the outdoors, personal challenge, and peer leadership. Scouts work towards the Chief Scout's Award, the highest youth achievement in Irish Scouting, through a combination of service, skill, adventure, and leadership projects.
